Fibre Optic Systems pre-terminated fibre optic pigtails offer a convenient method of fibre cable termination. Each 900 micron TIA coloured fibre is factory terminated with a connector to suit your active network infrastructure, equipment or patch panel. Connector variants for singlemode fibre include FC, FCA, LC, LCA, SC, SCA and ST and FC, LC, SC, and ST are available in multimode. Fibre optic pigtails are typically used to terminate backbone loose tube and distribution fibre runs for presentation and patching into a FOBOT, enclosure or patch panel via fusion splicing. This method of termination offers significant loss savings when compared to direct termination with field installed connectors.
Available in 6 and 12 packs, each individual fibre comes factory terminated with a machine polished, factory tested connector. Fibre Optic Systems’ singlemode fibre optic pigtails are terminated on ITU G652.D low water peak fibre, however custom fibre types including ITU G657.A1 and A2 can be arranged for special projects – please call for more details.
